Compliance

Web designers have to consider the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) legislation and the Data Discrimination Act when building websites but a good working knowledge of the Local Government Act is useful when working for Parish Councils.

If your Parish Council decides to "go it alone" and build and maintain your own website we can still help with domain name registration and hosting.

However, be aware that a good web designer will make many decisions, generally focussed on useability and accessibility of which you will not be aware. They will assess how and by whom the site will be used and decide upon font sizes and colours, whether the design will be fixed, liquid or adaptive, the type and style of navigation as well as creating a pleasant user experience.
