Sticky content

Sticky content is the phrase used to describe content that visitors find attractive, entertaining or interesting.

Some people will find the general content of a Parish Council site interesting and informative but will they keep coming back again and again? Some Parish Council sites are updated weekly with details of Planning Applications and in some areas this is very popular and would certainly be classed as "sticky content".

A site that has regular quizzes, competitions or any other participatory activity would also be described as providing "sticky content"

The latest phenomenon is "Social Networking". Site's like MySpace and Facebook are just two examples of sites where the visitors create or comment on the content - the visitor IS the content. YouTube is outwardly a video sharing site but the combination of this and its social networking side saw the site change hands after two years when Google aquired it for $1.65 billion!

If you want to add sticky content to your site then social networking is the route to take and we can add a Forum or a Blog which will enable you to achieve it.
